Baoxiang Temple is a well preserved Buddhist temple constructed during the Northern and Southern Dynasties (502- 581) and the cultural relics in the temple are still well kept.

In 1994, 141 pieces of Buddhism articles, such as Buddha bones and sariras were unearthed at the Prince's Soul Trace Pagoda (Taizi Lingzong Pagoda), where a great many holy Buddha relics were excavated in 1994. At that time, this was an amazing architectural discovery astonishing both China and the world.

Baoxiang Temple is one of the Buddhist spots opened to the outside worldto host Buddhism ceremonies in China. The Buddha Halo Festival, which is held every year, attracts many eminent monks to assemble at Baoxiang Temple to worship the reappearance of the Buddha halo.
