Local CSR Effort

3SP @ Buangkok

Buddha Tooth Relic Temple is part of the Partners Engaging and Empowering Rough Sleepers (Peers) Network running shelters for the homeless, which are called Safe, Sound Sleeping Places(S3Ps), organized by the Ministry of Social and Family.

During the COVID-19 Circuit Breaker period from 7 April 2020 to 1 June 2020, we helped set up and operate the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple@Buangkok 3SP,  so that even the homeless have accommodation. This is to ensure that their safety and health will not be compromised. We installed our temperature screening device, registration iPads, wifi, SafeEntry, etc.

In the shelter, other than providing basic accommodation to them, we also provide daily meals, beverages, fruits and snacks. We also prepared beds, mattresses, pillows, hot/cold water dispensers, washing machines, shampoos, soap,  masks, hand sanitisers, and other essentials for them.

While staying at the shelter, our social worker will try to understand their issues and attempt to resolve them expeditiously.
